I wrote it myself and it contains a simple yet potent technique. For many people, this will be all that’s needed and the problem will go!
You may need to listen to the video several times and for some people, it can take a few days or even weeks to work. Other times it can work instantly.
Listen to it each day or night in the run-up to your driving test and it’ll make you feel more confident and positive.
Why you get nervous about driving tests
You get nervous about driving tests because part of you is telling you that you need to be nervous.
We’re all made up of parts. Think about a time when you’ve had to decide where to go on holiday or which phone to buy.
Part of you wants to go to one place and part of you wants to go somewhere else.
Part of you wants one phone because it’s great but another part of you wants to buy a cheaper one to save money.
Those are the parts we’re talking about.
We’ve all heard about choosing things with our head or our heart. Your head tells you to go for the cheap, sensible option but your heart tells you to go for the fancy, more expensive one.
Do you know what happens when there’s a clash of head and heart?
The heart wins most of the time. The only time it doesn’t is if you are a person with incredible self-control and resolve.
That’s because emotion is stronger than logic. It’s why people have so much trouble not eating junk food or speeding when driving.
They know it’s wrong but emotion beats logic every time for 99.9% of people.
How to stop driving test anxiety
It’s very easy to stop driving test anxiety.
I know that reading that will make you think that I don’t understand. You’ve had this issue all your life and it’ll never go. It’s always going to be there and it’s always going to stop you.
That’s where you’re wrong.
You see all you need to do to overcome this problem is understand the following:
- Thoughts control our feelings
- Feelings control our actions
- Actions control our behaviour
All you need to do is change the way you think about things and that will then change your feelings and behaviour.
Do you know that part we spoke about before? It’s doing what it thinks will help you but we need to change its behaviour.
That part is making you nervous and making you fail because it thinks that it’s helping by doing that. It’s keeping you safe by stopping you from driving alone.
We need to change the way it behaves and tell it that you want to be driving alone!
That’s where hypnosis comes in.
How hypnosis works for driving test anxiety
Hypnosis works by putting your mind into an altered state.
Don’t worry – you’re not going to become a zombie. You don’t lose control.
It’s just like when you’re feeling tired on a plane journey or after a long drive. Do you know that groggy half-awake feeling? That’s hypnosis.
Many people are surprised to discover that they’ve already experienced hypnosis thousands of times already.
Every time you go to sleep you pass through the layer of hypnosis and then come up through it again when you wake up.
